Covenant School of Bridgeport Welcomes New President

We join Covenant School of Bridgeport Board Chair John Cullinane in welcoming Christine Paine into her new role. See his full message below:

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am  excited to introduce the new President of the Covenant School of Bridgeport, Christine Matthews Paine. Christine has built a distinguished career of leadership in non-profit organizations in the Bridgeport area and we are delighted to have her join our team.

Christine brings over thirty years of experience in development and community engagement for a number of organizations, including ten years as Director of Development at Caroline House in Bridgeport and more recently as Senior Director of Development for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Hartford.  Christine is a certified development professional and a board member of the  Fairfield County Chapter of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals.

Christine has a passion for bringing people together,  building strong relationships and making a difference in her community. She is drawn to the mission of Covenant School of Bridgeport, one of 52 Jesuit NativityMiguel middle schools across the country, to educate young men and instill in them our principle of "Men for Others."

A parent of six, Christine understands the challenge of educating children in today's world and looks forward to getting to know all the boys and their families.

I want to thank the Search Committee of our Board for all the hard work they did in interviewing several excellent candidates and helping to select Christine.

We look forward to the energy and direction Christine will bring to our school.

John Cullinane
