Cornelia Connelly Center Raises Over $750,000

Cornelia Connelly Center had an exceptional night at its “Because She Matters” Annual Benefit. The event was held at Guastavino’s, a premier event venue in New York City. It raised over three-quarters of a million dollars.

One of the night’s Honorees was CCC alumna Andrea Booker, class of 2001. Andrea attended Notre Dame High School before earning a Bachelor's degree from New York University's Stern School of Business. Andrea launched her own business, Poiema Creative Lab, which helps organizations tell their stories, address business challenges affecting their culture, and enhance their engagement with the communities they serve. Andrea is also completing a Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary, concentrating on Leadership in Times of Change.

It was a night filled with stories, laughter and purpose. Many of the stakeholders who make CCC what it is and support its mission showed up and made the night a huge success. Thanks to the generosity of its supporters, the school raised over $750,000 to help the school continue to shape the lives of young girls in New York City.
