Our Member Schools Are Always Happy To Welcome Back Familiar Faces

Class of 2022, Covenant Preparatory School

The Graduate Support Programs at NMC schools provide a community of guidance and support from middle school through college. One of the best parts of these programs is when alumni come back to mentor younger students.

One of our member schools, Covenant Preparatory School was excited to welcome back some familiar faces from the Class of 2022 as they came to talk to soon-to-be high school freshmen about the transition to high school: "We are so grateful to all of our grads who constantly offer mentorship, guidance, and direction to other grads and current students! Best of luck to the class of 2023 as you embark on your next journey! We will see you soon!"

Relationships formed at NMC schools help to build academic and personal successes that can strengthen communities in the future.

Washington School for Girls Celebrates Book Lovers Day

Each year, the staff at Washington School for Girls reads a book together. This year, they chose "Unearthing Joy: A Guide to Culturally and Historically Responsive Curriculum and Instruction" by Gholdy Muhammad (@gholdym, published by @scholastic)

Joy is one of the core values of the school, so they are excited to go on the journey together. Ms. Jensen and the staff started reading last week. What an amazing way to get inspired for the new year!

The Scholar Olympics at Gesu School Includes Collaboration, Friendly Competition, STEAM, and Fun

Gesu’s Youngest Scholars program held its annual Scholar Olympics! Our 3rd-5th graders had fun with some friendly fitness competitions, participating in track and field events and obstacle courses. Students also took part in a STEM curriculum based airplane launch, as students measured the distance of how far they were able to toss their paper planes! Congratulations to all our students and teachers for taking part in these initiatives. Special shoutout to Ms. Asta and our rising 3rd grade scholars for winning first place in the Olympics, and to Mr. Joe for receiving the “Best Coach” award! #GesuWorks
